VA Nursing Fellowships
The Postdoctoral Nurse Fellowship Program is designed
to provide nurses, who have earned doctoral degrees,
the opportunity to broaden their scientific or research
background, or to extend their potential for clinical
research in nursing. The major goal of the Postdoctoral
Nurse Fellowship Program is to develop a cadre of clinical
nurse researchers who will be able to:
(a) conduct clinical nursing research;
(b) secure funds for clinical studies through grants;
(c) foster communication of clinical research findings through presentations
and publications; and
(d) promote integration of significant research findings into the clinical care
of patients.
This fellowship program was developed in collaboration with the Nursing Services
Office and is funded both by the Office
of Academic Affiliations and the Office of Research and Development.
